CupuacuVital
CupuacuVital is a skin care treatment that gets its power from a fruit grown naturally in the rainforests of Brazil. The fruit, known as Cupuacu, is supposedly filled with healthy antioxidants that can help the skin remain firm and healthy. According to the makers of the product, here is what CupuacuVital can do:
- Slows cell aging process
- Promotes new healthy skin
- Helps thicken hair cuticles
- May increase stamina and vitality
- Helps increase energy and libido
CupuacuVital hopes to tap into the Cupuacu’s well of health nutrients as its primary means of curing winkles and other skin ailments. The specific nutrients the product uses are the polyphenols contained in the fruit. These polyphenols, which are also health boosting theograndins, kill the free radicals that roam through out the body destroying the healthy cells and resulting in wrinkles.
It is also thought that Cupuacu can also improve the levels of collagen that the body produces, but how that actually happens seems a little bit of a mystery. I only can tell you what I read and that’s simply that Cupuacu can boost collagen. No other explanation is given.
Cost
The cost of CupuacuVital is a little misleading. You can only purchase the product through their website and only after you’re enrolled in an autoship program. Our stance has typically been to avoid these types of billing practices at all costs. The initial price you’ll be charged in approximately $80.
Then after the first month you’ll be charged only $49 a month. I’m not sure why there’s a discrepancy there between the first month of charge and the months that follow. Seems a bit weird to me.
Guarantee
There is a guarantee but it’s only good for 30 days. Unfortunately, 30 days may not be enough time to see if the product really works. You also are required to provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number in order to send the product back. That number can be obtained after you cancel the order. You are able to return the product even if the bottle is empty.
Final thoughts
The negatives out weight the positives in our book. You may see results with CupuacuVital or you may see nothing at all. That’s always the risk you take when you purchase any kind of cosmetic. But because you have to enroll in an autoship and because the guarantee isn’t as great, your risks seem to be enhanced rather then diminished.
You can find products that don’t ask for an auto enrollment and even offer lifetime guarantees. My advice is to find one of those.
